What a toolI was wondering the information about when the domain is going to expire/drop. Is this contained within the zone file or where does this data come from ?

DNForum is the largest domain name community on the internet and continues to grow every day. There are over 105,000 domainers on DNForum doing everything from buying domains, selling domains, learning about domains and discussing domains. Take a minute and Register.
Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!Ugg... Sorry Adam. I literally just saw this post now. I should have done some more cross browser testing on that mobile redirect. I fixed the IE issue. I'm sorry it's been over a month since you posted that.

I've added deep linking into the zfbot application. Here's how it works - you pass variables in the URL and the application reads those variables... This way, you can save bookmarks or put URL's behind buttons/links on external sites and have users go directly to queries within zfbot.
Here's an example:
http://www.zfbot.com/#/search1=loli;...=0;park=0;go=t
and another using the nameserver search:
http://www.zfbot.com/#/search1=micro...rking.com;go=t
Instructions:
search1 = starts with string
search2 = ends with string
ext = the extension value
0 = all
1 = com
2 = net
3 = org
4 = info
5 = biz
6 = us
7 = mobi
8 = tel
9 = xxx
dash = include or exclude dashes....value of t or f
num = include or exclude numbers... value of t or f
idn = include or exclude IDN domains... value of t or f
min = minimum domain length
max = maximum domain length
dropping = whether the domain is dropping or not... value of t or f
cvcv = if dropping, the type of drop
0 = all
1 = dictionary
2 = cvcv
3 = cvvc
4 = vcvc
5 = vccv
6 = cvcv, cvvc, vcvc, vccv
7 = cvcvc
8 = vcvcv
park = parking value
0 = no filter
1 = yes
2 = unlikely
3 = likely
searchns = nameserver value
go = autorun variable. set to t to have the query automatically run upon opening zfbot (NOTE: this variable gets flipped back to "f" after the query runs... so if you're copying the URL for use somewhere else, make sure you're not copying it with an "f" if you want the query to run automatically!)
You'll also notice that you can use the BACK button of your browser and the parameters you've changed will revert back to previous selections. This is unique as with most Flash/Flex applications, the BACK button on a browser would exit you from the site.

NOTE: This will not work on mobile devices. I have not yet added the variables to that version of the zfbot site.
One more variable/change to the search - I added a radio button for AND or OR on the search... here's and example of a query of all domains that either START or ENDS with microsoft. This way you can run a single query to get all the domains instead of running two.
http://www.zfbot.com/#/search1=micro...chns=null;go=t
The new variable is type and the options are 'and' or 'or'
OK - I made another rather nice change to the way the zfbot search works. It's related to how searches are completed in relation to domains with dashes in them. Prior to the change, users needed to specifically type in and search for domains with dashes...and to put them in the appropriate position in the domain to find the exact domain. Although this helps users pinpoint specific domains quickly, it is actually not that useful for finding leads.
So here's what I've done - you can no longer type a dash into the search box. All you need to do is either include or exclude dashes with the checkbox. And then just type your search.
Example - Prior to the change:
Search starts with savourcuisine, with include dashes.... results would be:
savourcuisine.com
Example - With new changes:
Search starts with savourcuisine, with include dashes.... results would be:
savourcuisine.com
savour-cuisine.com
This is only a simple example of how the new search allows you to find leads that you may not have found before... This in combination with the use of the "starts with" and "ends with" and the "and/or" query and the new search is quite powerful.
Here's another search for "besttablets" that reveals domains with dashes that could be potential leads:
http://www.zfbot.com/#/search1=bestt...=0;park=0;go=t
And if you're looking for a specific domain with dashes, simply type it without dashes and make sure the "No -'s" checkbox is unchecked (which it is by default now).
And if someone cuts and pastes a domain with dashes into the search or uses a domain variable with dashes in it in the url, the search script strips out the dashes and returns the results appropriately... for example:
http://www.zfbot.com/#/search1=best-...chns=null;go=t
