Throughout the years I have made $100,000s by tracking down domain name owners by using several means and I have become very good at it. Most of the time the owners have forgotten about the domains and almost always want to sell. There has been only 1 domain name out of 1,000s that I have given up on without making contact with someone. People let whois information expire including phone numbers, email, address, etc.

I just wanted to add that I use more tools than just "whois history, etc", I use anything it takes to find the owner. This can be useful to hunt down the owner of a domain name that you want to purchase, or if you need to hunt someone down for legal issues.

Great point, but I would never do that.

I don't think that DomainsInc was questioning what you would do.

I think he was saying that someone could request your services and after getting the correct info, they may dishonestly come back and say that it wasn't right and try to get a refund from you.

Btw, this is a great service you are offering.

Although I don't currently have the need for it, it's good to know that I have a reliable place to go if need be.
