No matter what you or anyone else does, there will always be people who knock it or criticize it. You need to make the best decisions for you and your business and not worry about what others will think, unless of course the opinions of others will impact your business.

My blog is featured on Domaining, Namebee, and DNGator, so I think I can give you a fair comparison from my Google Analytics account.

Referring sites for the last 30 days:

Referrer #1 Domaining.com - 4,370 visitors
Referrer #3 Namebee.com - 774 visitors
Referrer #25 DNGator.com - 43 visitors

Point taken.

And, another reason to know the in depth bowels of google analytics - powerful stuff.

Again, like I mentioned - just made up numbers on my part.

So, is Elliots Blog more valuable based on the traffic it receives? or more valuable based on its usage in the domaining industry?

Tough one to answer. One is related to the other.

Without widespread readership and usage in the domaining industry there would be no traffic (a natural assumption).

But I'll bet you value all those back links and seeing your site mentioned on other sites more than anything. If 75%+ of the domaining industry were reading your blog then that says more to me about the perceived (and real value) of the site (and its content) than traffic stats.

A PR stunt is when a deal that appears to be a deal is not a deal. What was part of the sales agreement is not part of *your* business or anyone else's for that matter. As a pornographer, you should know that.
