FEEDBACK NEEDED: ScriptNexus.com - The Ultimate Script Generator Website

OVERVIEW:
So, a while back I set the foundations on a very challenging experiment. The experiment... and I still need to call it this... is to create a tool/website... that allows people to dynamically bridge the gap between scripting languages.

As many know... there are a multitude of scripting languages out there, and they all are often so much of one thing, and a little of something else. When moving between languages for any reasons, its always a scramble to track down guides on how to convert code, or what similar structures and methodologies to use in one language versus another.

Another challenge is that there are SO many scripting languages out there, often employed in different areas of our computing lives. Like... writing an HTACCESS on CRON file document for our Apache server that performs a specific function, to writing a Windows bat file to accomplish a given task. Also we have the more exotic scripting available in languages PHP, PERL, ASP, JAVASCRIPT... as well as the basic mundane things we do in HTML and ASCII TEXT.

The requirements extends to the last and highest level with regards to "writing" aids... as in, automated tools to help quickly generate resumes, basic invoices, and project proposals for clients (in clear, easy language).

So, working at first off of a dynamic script I'd created for generating project proposals, I started working on ScriptNexus.com. This project has been on-again-off-again for a while... so I'm looking for feedback on it. A friend of mine showed another friend, and told me he got extremely excited over it, before realizing it wasn't done... so, a word of caution.

Don't click the TABS. Something isn't right with those.

Visit the website and try this...

1.) From Menu 1 ("Choose Solution"), choose "HELLO WORLD"
2.) From Menu 2 ("Choose Available Output"), choose any of the options available (try TEXT")

"Hello World" is the "proof of concept" option I first created to demonstrate how the tool would function. Typing in the left colum textbox should show the text in the middle dynamically changing to include your additional text. In the left nav, you can ignore the drop menu and checkbox, although feel free to play with them.

Go back to Menu 2 ("Output"), and select a few different languages, and the output format changes.

No, another section that works...
1.) from Menu 1 ("Choose Solution"), choose "HTACCESS".

Because HTACCESS files are only available as basic TEXT output, that will be auto-selected. What's there right now, are some basic HTACCESS solutions that can be customized and dynamically added to the file.

From the "Solutions" drop down, you can get a general idea of the types of scripts I want to make available via this interface. These are things I've run across often as kind of "archetypes" in online/home scripting... the sort of things from time to time, that could be really useful in a different language, or to just have a basic, clean example of in an easy to access format.

QUESTIONS:
So, what do you think about the concept for the website?
Would you find something like this useful? Why?
What other sort of things would you find useful on an ultimate "script" library website? Complete syntax references for a number of languages? A script directory? Other languages? Generators? Comment/feedback area?

Slightly unrelated, but I thought I'd transpose this reply here,
so I'm not "hijacking" anyone's thread with my thoughts
on the idea of a scripting portal. These thoughts add onto
what I've noted above regarding the topic.

To be perfectly honest, previous comments are correct. Most "basic" scripts are available for free, and as a friend of mine likes to say... no one likes to pay for a "hammer"... unless its a really good "hammer".

In fact, I'm starting a website that will be making this even MORE the case, as most everything will be free to access. Regarding "purchasing", my feeling on my own website endeavor in this area, is that I've been considering that when I get the site working, some scripts may be so "potent", especially in the format I'm offering, that I may want to consider a "membership" for members to access all sections of the site.

I've been compiling my list of scripting "archetypes" for a while. Those things people always need and run across in their daily webmastering lives.
