I just became a GoDaddy (wild west Domain) Reseller, moving all my names there, mostly from OpenSRS Tucows. Several officials there personally helped with the setup and the many transfers going thru, which as we all now can be time consuming and tricky to do.
I can't begin to tell you how impressed I am with them. Great reseller interface and superb domain sale pages, superb cust serv, very personal assistance from some top people there if needed, excellent webpage control panel and website look and feel and capabilities, very simple and well explained ease of doing things, and quick knowledgable assistance when needed, either online or via phone and email, all top-notch.
The amazing thing is all of that is not only better than anyone else I am familiar with, but also considerable lower priced. Not just their very low cost .us/.biz program but regular registratons and transfers are priced much lower than OpenSRS, who wants to maintain a very high reseller price (in today's market) of $10 per name. A few yrs ago they were low priced but no more.
One madenning thing about OpenSRS is they will not program for bulk domain locking, requiring each one being done seperately, and very tediously. The transfer auth code process there is also very tedious but automatic at Wild West. OpenSRS also refuses to give any assistance at all in installing their all to frequent updates, requiring me to hire costly outside programmers.
I am so glad I have made the switch to this excellent company. It's really amazing how OpenSRS manages to maintain their top position when GoDaddy and Wild West are so much better and significantly lower priced too. I will be saving thousands of dollars a yr there vs OpenSRS, and also can offer much lower reseller prices to my clients.
If any of you are interested here is my free reseller website wild west Domains made for me.
Perhaps you may want to transfer or reg some names there![]()

I went to GoDaddy to register some .us names for 5 ea.
But, the website wanted 6.95
What's up?
My link in post above is not $6.95.Originally posted by actnow I went to GoDaddy to register some .us names for 5 ea. But, the website wanted 6.95 What's up?
Did you go direct to Godaddy or use a different reseller?
My info is that the registrations have to be either called in or e-mailed in to qualify for the $5 promotional charge. The web site lists them as $6.95 per name.

I too have a GoDaddy wwd reseller interface and I agree they are very good and well priced.

The only fault I find with them is that they pay by cheque.
The overseas bank charges here can wipe out a small cheque.
