Lightbulb >>> how to DOUBLE+ the global Web business >>>

    .

according to Internet World Stats, today, the internet users are over 1.8 billions worldwide

but, with the world population that is quickly reaching the 7 billions people, the (potential) number of new internet users (excluding the too young, too old and too poor of them) could be up to 4 billions more!

so, the global web business (servers, online services, bandwidth, domains, etc.) could DOUBLE or TRIPLE in the next years!

unfortunately, great part of these potential users (as their countries) not even have money for food, so, it's unlikely they'll have enough money to buy a computer for each one of these new users

a great idea to reduce the "digital divide" has been the One Laptop Per Child project, proposed by MIT engineers five years ago, but, the real computer, born from this project, the XO-1, hasn't had any success (with LESS than 2 million unit sold) due to its poor/bad design and its high price, that is of $200 (or TWICE than planned) as clearly explained in my OLPCdesign.com website

the MIT engineers are aware of their mistakes, so, they have designed the XO-2 (deleted last year) and the XO-3 that should be an iPad-like tablet (but better and lighter) sold at only $75 (about 15% of the iPad price!) from 2012

well, since, develop a better iPad and offer it at 15% the price, will be IMPOSSIBLE also in 2012, many (including me) are trying to develop a REALISTIC device, to allow all poor people and poor countries to (finally) buy the computers they need

I've called my personal effort to develop a low cost computer for developing countries "MY LOW COST PC" that will be explained on its own website: mylowcostpc.com

well, I think/believe/hope, that, ALL the web Hosting companies of the world, should/will support this kind of projects, since, if successful, ALL these companies will have a BIG increase of users and revenues

unfortunately, so far, no one of the web hosting companies that I've contacted has supported my project nor visited my website nor sent me any answer (excluding just a couple of them...) so, now, I'm not optimist about the future of my project... :(
