New Nov. 11 Domain Sales Report at DNJ - Firsts for .US, .co.uk & DNForum!

Our new weekly Domain Sales report is out at Domain Name Journal.

There are many highlights this week and some odd occurrences:

- A five-letter acronym was the top-selling domain at over $17,000!

- .co.uk made its first appearance on the chart with a $5,000 sale.

- .info made the Top Ten chart for the second week in a row and took the top 3 slots on the New TLD chart

- .US made its first appearance (actually two appearances) on the New TLD chart

- .DE continues to rock, taking 3 of the top 5 spots in the Top Ten

- And last, but certainly not least, DNForum.com becomes the first forum to land on the Top Ten as a selling venue for a Top Ten domain!

When I got the news about hiusa.com I thought it didn't look like a very valuable name on the surface. Thought some other extensions might be available and sure enough the .us was. Now if the.us is only worth 1% of the .com that would still be $175 and a nice gain over the $5 I spent at Rackshack. :-D

5-letter acronyms are a tough sell though. I think the best angle is Hawaii USA - the same way they use flausa.com for the big Florida tourism site.

i bet they didn;t even know .US existed


www.dnjournal.us becoming quite the resource maybe you should charge a subcription fee and set up a weekly newsletter that goes out thru email alerts!!

I think a subscription fee is a very good idea. I remember how much people loved it when it was put in here! :-D
