Thanks Adam. That is ridiculous pricing structure. What are the returns after that kind of investment? I would love to hear Onward's feed back.
Have you tried AssociatedCities for NewFoundland.com? Do they charge to develop?

I think they do, but not sure if it is only very high traffic geo names. I do remember reading somewhere on their website
a while ago that if some one owns a strong killer geo domain should contact them for partnership. I could be wrong since
it has been a while..
I think domains like SanFrancisco.com ,Memphis.com and Toronto.com are all owned by different owners who are partners with
associated cities and I think AC develops the sites and share profits with the domain owners.. I will have to go back search it
again and read over just to make sure.

The reason I said that is that it is no secret labour is cheap in India, I personally have a large development team based in India.
It was not a knock against the country or the people, just a fact that labour there is reasonably priced.
As for you saying I can't afford it, I am shocked that you can see inside my wallet.
As to the fact that I am a moron, I think that is incorrect as only a moron would pay 4k a year for Hosting.

I think Adam means since labor costs are so low in India (I assume programmers too) an Indian firm can afford to charge much less and make similar profits vs a N American based firm. Quotes you can get from nations like India on places like scriptlance are extremely low.
BTW, I have a friend in my area who charges roughly the same. I think his last client paid over 5k for site/setup, plus more than $500 a month, which includes site maintenance and high ranking in Google. He gets that kind of money from others too.

I pay almost 3k a year for Hosting but that's for dedicated server and multiple sites. 3k/4k is real high just for one or a few sites. i.e. you can host several sites with Hostgator Baby Plan for less than $10-mo.

Yes, and they must be building the next FaceBook.
Clearly, you are the EXPERT in Web Development. Your incredibly complex and aesthetic website at www.dcg.com says it all.
Peace.

Thanks.
I would like to buy but there's no order form.
In fact it reads, "We accept payment via Credit Card, Paypal & Wire-Transfer. Contact: sales@doublespring.com".
What's up with that?.
We have decided to go with DoubleSpring for our site. I have to say I researched this to death. There are lots of different options out there, you will have to decide what is best for your needs.
DoubleSprings' model/philosophy seemed to be much more advanced and innovative (IMO) and I believe will better suit my needs in the long run than competitors. I will say that DoubleSpring has been very professional.
Developing a site like this only starts with the launch...our site is a work in progress...it has and will continue to take a lot of work. This is a business and I want to put my business in the best position to succeed.
Did I make the right decision? I believe that you get what you pay for...but to answer that question...I would say to ask me in a year.
I am happy to discuss this further with anyone via PM, e-mail or phone.
I hear labor is really cheap in Libya currently.
Some questions:
Would 3rd party developers have the ability to expand (templates, add-ons, etc)?
Do you offer initial content set up or data?
Do you offer ongoing content management?
Do you offer sales support for site visitors (ie: for the sales of directory features, ads, etc)?
Thanks in advance.
