Still relying on unreliable registrar redirections? If you don't have a host that supports "unlimited" domains, PM me for one. This script is for those who host all their domains on their server.

What is PPC Domain Manager?

PPC Domain Manager is a script you run off your own server where you input all your domains you direct to PPC Sponsors & then you can use the simple interface to redirect your domains to each PPC Sponsor rather than manually doing it.

Just picked up a few new traffic names? Instead of manually having to create a blank index file & a redirection file for each new domain.. simply just add them to PPC Domain Manager, go to the manage page, select the domains you want to redirect & what sponsors you want to redirect them to & you're all done.

Several domains peforming bad @ one PPC Sponsor? No problem.... just go to the multiple manage page & select the domains you want to change & to what sponsor & then with the push of a button all domains will be changed.

It's even simpler if you want to change several domains all to the one sponsor; all you need to do is select the domains from the multiple selection list & select the sponsor (only once for all domains) & click the modify button & then you're done!

Great for users with large domain portfolios...

How does PPC Domain Manager work?

PPC Domain Manager works with PPC Sponsors who offer a "manual redirection" linking syntax.

You will need to have all your domains setup on your server as you need the ability to be able to redirect the domain. If your host doesn't allow "unlimited domains"; PM me for a host that does!

PPC Domain Manager will then create a blank index file & a .htaccess file OR change the exisiting ones on the appropriate domain.. the .htaccess file will control the redirection process.

PPC Domain Manager is smart; it will handle all 404 errors of people going to pages that don't exist & redirect them to the PPC Sponsor also!

There are two different versions of PPC Domain Manager:

The normal version.. which works when your domain name appears in the server paths.. with this version, when you add names all you need to do is add each domain line by line.

Username version.. which works when you use a username in the server paths instead of the domain name; with this version, when you add names you need to add the domain name followed by the username (seperated by a space) for that domain... example:

domain1.com username
domain2.com username
domain3.com username

The username version takes a little longer to add names to the system, but once added you will enjoy the same speed as the "normal version".

How secure is PPC Domain Manager?

We have made all efforts to make PPC Domain Manager as secure as possible. To login you will need a username, a 4-digit security number & also a password. Additionally, if you have a static IP, you can make some extra security settings in the script where you input your IP & your email & if someone attempts to login to your script & their IP doesn't match your IP then you will be emailed @ the email address you supplied with the appropriate information.

What sponsors does PPC Domain Manager support?

PPC Domain Manager currently supports Domain Hop, Domain Sponsor, Sedo Parking, Parking Site, Gold Key & Traffic Valet.

We are working with other sponsors to try & get them implemented also.

Some sponsors such as Fabulous don't offer manual redirection options; if they add the option in the future, we will add them to PPC Domain Manager.

What are the requirements?

Operating system: Unix or WinNT System running PHP4 + MySQL & a host that will support all your domains.

Pretty easy! All you need to do is input your database information into a file
& then run the setup file & input some settings & you're done!

Is there any other information you can give me?

Well I could say that PPC Domain Manager also has a feature where it will remember your default settings for Domain Sponsors "extra settings" such as if you want optimization on, popunder on etc .. rather than having to set this for each domain, you can set your default settings & they will be set by default each time you redirect a domain to Domain Sponsor; of course you still have the option to modify each of these settings for each domain if you so wish.

Honestly & without trying to be too biased I am suprised @ that not many people seem to be interested in this script...

It has got to be for one of the below reasons..

1. Most people use their registrars forwarding option (unreliable at times - lost $$$)
2. Many may use the PPC sponsors DNS (again, some are unreliable at times - lost $$$)
3. Their host doesn't support unlimited domains
4. My script is too expensive

For 1 & 2, I suggest you really consider giving manual redirection a shot.... it's a much easier method to use once implemented & is MUCH more flexible when wanting to try a different sponsor.... if you wanted to try a different sponsor for 1 you would need to log into your registrar & change the forwarding URL for EACH name you want changed... likely you would even have to log into multiple registrars... for 2 you would need to do similar to the above, PLUS you would need to wait 24-48 hours for the change to be made... too bad if the name peforms poorly @ the new sponsor.... gotta change it back & wait.... that's lost $$$ once again!

For 3, easy... move to a host that supports unlimited domains for no extra charge!

For 4..... I'd like to hear your feedback!

How much bandwidth does a redirection script use per 1,000 visitors (day or month)?

Do you think it would be better than Domain Sponsor's ns1.proredirect?

Hey Richard,

I would say the bandwidth would be virtually nil.... the script creates a blank html file for each name you want to redirect & also a .htaccess file on the fly .. the .htaccess file handles the redirection..

So the only bandwidth that is being used on your server is pretty much nothing seeing as the redirection is instantaneous & the page doesn't even load on your server.

As for proredirect.... I've read more than once on this forum that it is a little unreliable.

I tried to see if one was faster than another by mil-seconds.

I could not tell the difference.

I used yours and one that was going thru proredirect.

I would have thought proredirect would be faster.

I also find proredirect or DS is sometimes very slow.

(Logically, the loading at DS is the slowest point.
I believe they don't use the same servers for pro and DS.)

I think this is a very good idea. It gives you a lot of flexibility.

Plus, the opportunity of almost immediately shifting your domains
to a different ppc service.

The only weak point is if you don't have confidence in your own server.

Well, yes, you should be able to rely on the PPC sponsors server/DNS... but sadly this isn't always the case.. if you have a decent host then your server should be up 99-100% of the time.

5. I already have an existing solution similar to yours....

I don't know how many have such a thing implemented on their servers already... cause that may the one reason for low response (if you're still suffering from it)...
However, I still feel that there is a huge audience existing for your product !

Initially I planned just to make this script for myself, but then decided to make it available to everyone because it didn't require that many modifications. I use it myself & can say that it is now so much easier than the manual method I used to use.

I assume you have heard about the major problem that Domain Sponsor has had with
pages not working. And, all of us can not determine if it is with proredirect or something else. It started to effect some people last friday. But, apparently peaked yesterday/today.

They are having some problems. I hope they get it resolved soon.

So far, they have figured out that people with firefox can see the ppc page.
And, viewers with older IE can see it.

I'm interested. But, I don't want to do anything until DS figures out their part
of the problem. I don't want to create another variable.

Support for Gold Key & Traffic Valet has now been added! Script price has also been reduced to $39.

Having a script like this is a dream when new players come into the PPC market such as Gold Key & Traffic Valet.. can eaisly change over a bunch of domains in seconds; don't like the results change them back instantly.. no continued lost revenue waiting days for DNS to propogate throughout the internet.

Will you be able to add stats per domain, good comparison is domain sponsor. Just a basic statistic should be ok.
