Country: | Super. Again, I want to state that my purpose of this thread is to keep every one updated. Key points to remember: This is NOT typical flu This is NOT typical flu season. Most of All ... If you have to go to the hospital for any reason, make sure all caregivers wash their hands. Contact is the number one way of spreading germs - not just flu germs. If you have flu like symptoms, YOU should be the one wearing a mask. If you are immunocomprimised in any way (Chemo or Rad therapy), insist all people entering the room wear a mask. Locally, several summer camps have closed. Expect a spike in reported cases as soon as school resumes here in the states (early august?). That goes for day care, pre-school, K-12 and universities. I believe 90 some new cadets at the Air Force Academy had symptoms. EDIT:530 pm Just found this on MSNBC.com Swine flu so widespread, officials stop counting. New virus expected to surge when school year starts. http://ow.ly/hyHi Last edited by Doc Com; 07-17-2009 at 05:32 PM.. |
