Hey there!
I noticed so many threads in different SEO forums about how to get top positions in search engines and how to get spidered fast. But most people do not know which power "blogging" has. After years of research and many tests I can say that the secret is in the blog.
We recently opened our own free and premium blog Hosting service for everybody who wants to a.) be a part of a modern blogging community or/and b.) start to get top positions for your website and get indexed very fast in major search engines.
However, I'm blogging for a long time now and I'll get my sites indexed just because I write stories and articles about my sites. All I do is placing some links within the content and ... voila! My new sites mostly get indexed within a few days!

I think you're missing the underlying power. It doesn't matter if it's a blog, a webzine, a research journal, an entertainment portal.. What matters is whether page you get linked from is updated frequently (at least bi-weekly).
Things like related content, different IP address & domain name, "pagerank", etc., those are all just bonuses.
That's why making decisions based mainly on Pagerank is a really piss poor business plan.
If it sounds too good to be true, post it on DNForum and you'll find some suckers!
