This has been an interesting thread. IMO, Elliott isn't really making any accusations - he's making a totally legit observation. You may not have meant to come off as a 'pumper and dumper' or even realized that would be a consequence of your posting. Like you said, you are trying to earn a large profit like everyone else in this industry.

However, keep in mind that for more regulated industries people go to great extents to hide their associations to companies, etc. that they are 'pumping' for obvious reasons.

Back to your topic - I am not taking a stance on prices rising or falling. I do question the amount of llll.com's changing hands these days though. And the prices publicized vary greatly for similar ones - from hundreds to thousands. So personally, I'm having a hard time deciding what to do with my own.

I think, paypal and ebay are the winners of LLLL.com game.

If one name get into two hands in one month - some times more.
I am sure paypal and ebay are making more money than the domainers.

I do have quite a few domains, but I only see parked and paypal are making more money than me.

it may be interesting to consider prospects for the "worst 10%" of LLLL.com relative to prices for CCC.com ...

There are 46,656 CCC.com - they've been trading on the aftermarket for a while, and as far as I know have been over $100 minimum price for some time as well.

Are CCC.com a bubble due to burst, with domainers just letting them drop as they finally realize the limited end-user / parking revenue potential?

What am I missing here?

Worst 10% of LLLL.com, about 45,679 domains ... Might define it as the last 45,679 LLLL.com to be registered from what, maybe July through November 2nd 2007 ... (So I've got a nice handful of those in my portfolio to provide as examples - DYVM, LXIQ, IJQA, RQQI, QIAV ... all the way up to my prized, extremely rare "uber-anti-premium" trophies: QVXZ, QXYV, QYXV ... you get the idea!)

Compare to something like ... I dunno, V7N.com ...
