I believe it is what dnforum uses. i think it is worth the money if you are serious about ur site. Setup is straight forward. you need to have mysql i believe.
I would agree. Sure there are a bunch of cheaper or free ones, but unless you are more technically oriented, and have the time to constantly monitor and install updates, then vbulletin is probably the way to go.Originally Posted by peterk
Using phpbb2 is quite simple & free. If you have cpanel it's just a few clicks and your up and running. Getting a forum started is much more difficult though, you will need to get friends, relatives and whoever else you can to get the forum started. Good luck.

phpbb is great and it is free .
You can seaech "phpbb script" in google.
and you will found it.
however if you are new to this sort of thing, you may still need a quote for somebody to install such forum systems for you. Allthough teh scripts mentioned are simple to install you will still need knowledge of FTP and have all of your mysql details to hand.
