MyID password change

Trying to change my password at myid. Hilariously frustrating password requirements:

"Must contain at least an upper case letter, a number, a lower case letter, and a symbol (Any character that is not a letter or number) and be 8-10 characters long. "

Seriously? Why not 11 characters + ? An exercise in frustration. Do they just want to be 100% no one ever re-uses a password they've used elsewhere?

I also had to change my username...

I just used my old password, but capitalized the first letter, added some numbers on the end I'll remember and an exclamation point at the end.

No one will ever crack it!! lol

Sure it's a bit of a pain, but in the end it will mean less accounts get hacked, which means less time wasted for MyID and customers.

Many places now want passwords over 8 characters and to include at least one number.

Well I hope that they are now storing password hashes instead of plaintext passwords.
