Great to know everything is back to normal.

This is a quick tips securing your online transaction. Considering you have an updated security patch for your operating system and anti-virus software.
- Start deleting your cookies after using the Internet (browsing). In Google Chrome browser, click on setting icon, click on "Clear browsing data", put check on all boxes (highly recommended), then click Clear Browsing Data to proceed. For Internet Explorer, click on Tools, in Browsing History click on Delete, then Delete All to erase your browsing records.

Hope this help you minimize risk exposure while surfing the Internet. Especially surfing while in the Hotels, internet cafe, and other wifi-related connections.

I should post a simple help guide in my blog to help other domaineer.

Regards,
Em

I doubt it's "Phatty", this is a clear case of a known scam that the "victim" contacts - usually via email - a relative of the person he pretends to be; they then proceed to state that they are distraught and in imminent need of money. There are cases that friends or relatives have wired thousands of dollars to the perpetrator, usually via Western Union.

This "I'm stuck in London" hack/scam via facebook was covered on the CBC a week or two ago. Hopefully nobody fell for it this time.

Glad to know that Adam wasn't mugged. There has been a lot of this in the news. Chances are the impostor wasn't in London either.

from email hacking - they have moved to social networking sites , but what's truly amazing is that it was resolved in 10 minutes.Usually it takes a couple of days if not hours.

Wow... VERY similar to another incident recently.

I got an email from a not-close friend saying she was on a short trip to London, planned last minute. It said she had been robbed, would I please send her $1000 to get home, and "don't tell anyone about this because it is embarrassing".

It smelled like total BS to me, and it was.

I think someone who is very nearer to you, who can guess (or already have by any means) your fb or email login details, has done this. Account brute-forcing for passwords doesn't work in FB at all.

Glad to know that everything back to normal.

Everybody should follow 2 basic rule of thumb to protect accounts online:
1) Should have completely different password for different social communities or forums
2) Should have long passwords with mixture of special characters.

I don't know but I got tired of Adam saying dirty things and then blaming it on this hacker person. I don't tolerate sexual harassment anywhere, even if a lot of you are hot and sexy and make me just wanna squeeze your avatars and pat your forum sigs. *squeeky*squeeky*pat*pat*
