It seems as of today, the candidates have been notified.
I would like to congratulate
Matt_H btw
and
Mare
and welcome both individuals to DNF as both appear to be new members.
Additionally, as of today, September 13, 2006, I would like to resign from my role as a moderator. Unfortunately, I can no longer devote and sacrafice the time necessary for free moderation.
Regards,

. . .
Bob, your worth the money in my book. They will both have there hands full as spam and members seem to be out of control & can't follow simple rules.
Adam, thanks for keeping us in the blind and making us wait this long.

Welcome to DNF Mare and Matt_H btw..
Best of luck bob for your future projects. You have been a great Moderator and Forum Leader and contributed a lot to the forum.
It would appear the forum could need more than 2 (especially to cover the various world time zones effectively), and it's tough for mods like Bob to work free but also pay others.
I do agree, the forum is becoming a bit out of control and also much more time intensive from a mod/admin view than in the past when it had a good number of mostly excellent old Mods all working hard and for free, so how will 2 handle it but good luck to them.

Bob, It's a shame to loose such a highly respected, knowledgable, and professional player in the domain industry as a forum leader/moderator. Sometimes the respect is not given appropriately for what all is included and required of moderation, and I do not blame you at all for no longer sacrificing your time in doing so. I am sure your success in this industry will be continued and I expect to see many more Deemer sales reported on the Journal.
I also hope that with the new chosen Admin's ... that the money allocated for the positions is enough to be able to provide us forum members with admins who can provide continued benefits, timely customer support, professional work, etc .... I think the forum members/contributors deserve atleast that much in making DNF a nice resource and asset to the domain industry.
I wish you continued success as always Bob
This is a surprise to me. New members as admins.

not getting paid is not new. countless hours went into moderating. and abruptly unmodded too. i been a member only since 2002. good luck to all.

Hi Bob
Sorry to see that you are resigning.
However, I completely understand.
I lobbied for you come back as moderator for your second tenure and was sure that when you rejoined the staff, that it would raise the level of respect for the mod staff from forum members.
It was not easy being moderator, but those of us who served, did it for the love....while trying extremely hard to maintain the integrity of the forum.
We did it as unpaid servants, but true dedicated members.
Good Luck to you and those who continue to serve!

Well, I have been in touch with Adam yesterday, and today he has given me an explanation, which I suggested he gave to the other mods. It would appear that this has now been done. Although I have some concerns as to how this has all been handled, I am moving on. I would only comment that two new admins; apparently from outside the industry, are going to have their hands full. Best wishes to you Bob.
Thanks Bob for being dedicated to the forum and giving us your time, sorry to see you go as mod.
Guys and gals, it seems like I messed up royally.
It appears like Matt and Mare were added so they could test out some of the BB code errors that have been happening in the forum for the last 2 weeks. I should have asked before making an assumption.
My apologies for creating a rucus.
I can be found at city hall this saturday for a public flogging. All are encouraged to participate
