Re: DNF Forum Design

The new design is much cleaner. It will take some getting used to though, but overall I think it was a good change.

The site banner doesn't quite fit in with the rest of the site anymore though

Re: DNF Forum Design

I agree, so far I think it looks cleaner. Nice Job

I'm sure more changes will happen in the next day or two while members give opinions and code gets cleaned up.

Looking forward to it.

Re: DNF Forum Design

I agree. It is annoying having the width of the forum crunched down and also having to scroll forever to get to the actual content.

Re: DNF Forum Design

At first glance I like the change. I especially like the recent posts section on the right side - nice to see what is currently active in discussions.

Are the affiliate links for the DNForum affiliate program affected by this change, or are they the same? Looks like my affiliate link still works.

Re: DNF Forum Design

Wow, that totally took me off guard. Very Nice design. It definately elevates the site to a new business-like plateau visually.

Re: DNF Forum Design

Not to mention the dark bar of advertisements I always accidently click on when I try clicking Home.

I do get a syntax error still:

Line: 213
Char: 1
Error: Syntax error
Code: 0

Re: DNF Forum Design

The new layout is good but I hate the width of the forum. For those of us with smaller resolution screens, it makes scrolling an extreme effort!

Re: DNF Forum Design

There is also a lag when loading the front page waiting for all the advertisement banners to load.

Re: DNF Forum Design

Way too much contrast against the background, I dont like it.

You need a Woman to pick out the colors

Re: DNF Forum Design

suggestion:
move chat and auctions to the left column (and only on the homepage)

and also move all of content development; and all of the forums except for dnforum news into another section below everything else; it is annoying to have to come and see everytime so I close it, but I would like to be able to read forum news;

bottom line: you shouldn't have to scroll to see the first set of forums (ideally these would first be the news forum and then the sales forums)

Re: DNF Forum Design

For the home page, the right column looks too wide. Cut it down some and then the page isn't quite so looooong.
