Few more hours and great game to start the season off with, Vikings vs. Saints. Last time they played, Saints found a way to jack Favre up pretty good, a team that found a way to get to him. Don't think Favre lasts the season this time.

OMG, there were some UGLY games this weekend. Point spread (and a couple of picks made with my heart and not my head - ie, panthers over giants) doomed me in the pool.

? Was that for somebody else, didn't mention that anywhere. It looked like a catch to me as well but not according to the rules.

Amen to that.

For me, it been tough getting used to betting for or against a point spread.

I've done it for college teams but not for NFL. Every NFL league I have been in was either a draft or "purchase" the players based on their up and down performance. Those were tough leagues, buying players based on a budget.

But, I'll get the hang of it.

I can steal the Week 2 top prize from Thomas if the Niners can defy all odds and score a ton of points and also cover the 4½ point spread. Probably not going to happen, but at least I am guaranteed to beat JEsports for the 2nd week in a row. That's my main goal this season anyway!
