Country: | Dnforum to Launch Major Advertising Campaign I will be launching a major advertising campaign in the next 30 days.
So far I have chosen to advertise on the DevShed Forums, webhostingtalk and a few other similar places.
I am interested in getting feedback from you on where you think Dnforum would benefit most from advertising.
Obviously it must be a place that accepts advertisers, some sites don't.
I am also open to advertising in printed magazines such as entrepreneur.
Thanks in advance!

Test the waters... get a 30 sec ad spot

TheWHIR's print magazine is pretty good, I read every issue.
I'm not quite sure how many of their readers (webhosting professionals) aren't already aware of this place though. |

Actually on second thought you would probablly do better with an interview.
Elliot Noss just did a video interview with them... not sure if its a benefit in gaining new customers but its never a bad idea to put a face with an online brand.

This may seem odd but.....
what are you going to promote?
the reason i ask, is because your plate is so full!
are you going to promote just this forum or your group of sites?
this also includes all of the services that each of those sites, contribute to the plate.
as i see it, this is a lot to promote in one serving!
it may be too much to digest, at one time.
there needs to be a "hook", that will "reel" them in!
and the "bait" should be enticing.....as you want them to keep coming.
just a thought

Have you thought about contacting a major news network like Fox News?
Domains and the amount of money they bring in are still way under the radar.
With your portfolio status and the size of DNF I don't think that it would be that hard to land an interview on Fox or another news network.
In my opinion TV is still one of the best advertising media. I think it would be well worth the effort.
