Re: Dnforum Launches Affiliate Program - Earn $

Hi,

The way it works is that if the user goes to dnforum from your affiliate code and closes the window, all cookies are cleared, so for you to get your commission the user has to purchase a membership without closing the window of dnforum

Hope this clears it up. If you have any other questions please let me know.

Thanks
Susan

Thanks,

Re: Dnforum Launches Affiliate Program - Earn $

Hi,

They need to be changed with the new links that are offered once you sign up for the affiliate program.

Thanks

Re: Dnforum Launches Affiliate Program - Earn $

I'll sign up when i get home.

And Susan, For my PPC you can add that right away. An idea might be to offer a minimal discount for placing the link on all the ppc templates your pumping out. incentive or not, You can put them on mine.

Kevin.

p.s. Let me know when my ppc order might be complete.

Thanks Susan for clarifying that point. This means that if the visitor we refer doesn't sign up for a paid DNF membership on his first visit to the site, then we won't benefit from the conversion - this is probably going to make it very hard for us to get paid conversions. It is highly unlikely that someone will invest in a site after a single visit... A 15 or 30 day cookie would be more appropriate and fair for referring affiliates.

Just my $0.02...

Thanks,

Rob

Hi,

I will speak to my tech and see if we can provide something like this or if it is already incorporated.

I will look into it further and let you know how we can can support this issue.

Thanks

Support wouldn't be hard at all for this. Great pointer.

Sounds like a way to get around for paying the affiliates.

A 30 day cookie is a must. I won't even bother otherwise.

Hi,

The affiliate program is an enhanced packaged program that does not really have any issues.

You can promote the link and gain an extra 30% based on a registered user or dont promote it at all. At least by promoting a simple link you have the chance of earning some revenue. It is a great benefit for members of the forum especially if you have friends that are interested in registering as you can have them signup through your link. There have been similar cases to this already.

We have now added:
Enhanced Security Features
-30 day cookie tracking. If you refer a visitor to our membership page, you will be credited the affiliate commission if that user upgrades within the next 30 days. So the new user has time to browse the forum as a free member and then upgrade once they see the value.

Please provide your suggestions and I will try to have all implemented.

Thank you
Huseyin,

Question Re: Dnforum Launches Affiliate Program - Earn $

When a new customer first links to the affiliate code & the very first thing they see is a dull black "Forum Rules" to first register at DnForum I believe it is somewhat of a "turn away" landing page ? Perhaps a colorful landing page first to let the newbie see what the actual site is about & then link to the black "Forum Rules" register sign up form.
I have many newbies decline to sign up for this reason.
Just a thought............
