Excellent initiative - we've signed up and begun placing affiliate links on appropriate webmaster related sites. This should be good for increasing exposure to DNF.

What if a user signed up as gold, and then 1 month later, upgrade to exclusive, do I also get 30% of the exclusive upgrade, and that upgrade will be recorded?

You get credit for 30% of whatever the user signs up for.

Instructions for upgrades will be posted Monday.

Just joined, seems like the affiliate link goes straight
to a page where the prospect has to join under one
of the paid memberships. Joining under a free option
would be great, once they get to see the forum and how
good it is, they would upgrade later. Paying for membership
right away without seeing the forum is a harder sell.

Interesting point.
We will discuss this Monday and post on the issue.

I will also look at possibly providing a demo user account that will allow your visitor to browse the forum.

I will look to see also if there is more information regarding the forum we can place on the membership page that will help convince the user to register.

The more information provided the more positive the outcome.

I really don't think people would ever pay Exclusive straight up by just reading a page of features. But if they had registered for less or free, it would be pretty likely that they'd upgrade.

I have numerous banners and links on my network of sites that promote dnforum, will those old links still credit my account for the new affiliate program or do they all need to be changed?

example: www.startname.com I am using http://www.dnforum.com/register.php?referrerid=3279 any difference in links with the new program?

I presume that visitors that we refer to the site are assigned a tracking cookie that is then associated with our affiliate ID - what is the duration of the cookie ? For example, if I send Joe and Joe signs up for platinum x number of days afterwards (10, 15, 45 , 365 ?) then I will still be paid the commission ?
