Sorry Adam, don't like the forced paswrd change.
Mission accomplished. There is nothing we can do about it. Time to move on.
Next on the agenda, when are the new servers going online?

Good move, but I suspect many accounts have been compromised because of:
Adam, you should (if possible) run a survey of E-mail providers for the compromised accounts, I would not be surprised if they were using free yahoo accounts. Perhaps the use of free E-mail accounts for signup should be discouraged.
- virus, keylogger
- phishing (fake whois reminders)
- hijacking the E-mail address
Wasn't it yahoo that used to release E-mail accounts/usernames that are inactive ?
I also find it strange that so many domainers don't even use domains of their own for E-mail
I just do not trust 'free' services such as gmail et all for something as sensitive as my E-mail.
NameNewsletter.com - free lists of available domain names
ZoneFiles.net (beta) - ccTLD and gTLD droplists
There is no doubt most of the 'suspect' accounts use hotmail, yahoo and other free accounts.
The problem with limiting these is most newbies don't have their own domain when they start out.
Here are some stats from yesterday's new member signups:
49 new user signups - 42 are obvious free mail accounts like yahoo, gmail, hotmail and so on. 2 are probably there own domains out of 49.

I agree with that for the most part.
But my father in law, who is computer illiterate, just setup a gmail account on his own because he was a pain in the ass for me everytime he either switched his phone or his internet provider. Seemed like I had tro reconfigure his email every 2 months.
... and If that newbie can get a gmail account so can others.
Generally though, people get free email accounts for the same sneaky reasons they get a mailbox at mailboxes etc.
