Same error comes here too.
Hi,
We have seen the "unexpected" error message occur in some configurations of Windows 2000. We are currently looking into the problem and will post a solution to the issue ASAP. The problem that we've experienced is consistently duplicating the error.

That page is not very informative. Are these the keyword specific/username specific alerts that were in development?
NETCHEAP - Discount Dotster Reseller - $7.99
FREE pushes from your dotster account, renew for $7.99! 1. Create a netcheap account. 2. Push from dotster to netcheap account name. 3. Renew for $7.99!
The alerts are like each forum is a channel. Domains with traffic ,Domain Sales ,DN Forum News,Auction Alerts! .
You need to subscribe to whatever channel you want to receive alerts about. whenever a new thread is made you will receive a alert on your desktop...
Whenever there is new alert a flag will be there in the triangle icon near the clock.
Okay, so it's not the alerts I had suggested awhile back, which were forum specific email alerts you get when a post is made with your keywords, or by a username that you have in your preferences. These were in development.
Since you are looking for suggestions, maybe this can be added.

The advert only mention the 4 forums, Domains with traffic ,Domain Sales ,DN Forum News,Auction Alerts. Are these the only ones you can subscript to, or can you also subscript to others, like Expiring Domains, F$ Sales/Auctions, Help Wanted etc?

We can add any number of new forums to the alert service. Are there any that you particularly would like?Originally Posted by Mr.Domains
Also, at the moment the Alert service only works with Windows based PCs....sorry about that....we use Linux for all the server side apps
For any of you that are running your own forums - the alerts can be really easily integrated into them. Just drop me a PM if you are interested.

Well I know that different people use DNforum in different ways. Those with bigger budgets mainly use the forums you listed, (Domains with traffic, Domain Sales, Auctions, etc). But there are quite a few like me, who are not yet turning a profit, and can only afford to pick up the "reg fee" bargains, so most of what goes on in the Domain Sales & Auction forums are out of our league.Originally Posted by Whizzbang
The threads that I check every day are:
- Advertising and Related Offers
- Wanted Ads
- Link Trades
- Expiring Domains
- F$ Sales/Auctions
- Help Wanted!

I am trying this out now. seems cool. Tho I do hate extra things running on my desktop so if it does not prove as useful as I like, I will end up removing it.
Funny, go look at the simcast site and take a look at most used channels. Lots of people here using this? or not many people using simcast?

There's a lot of people using Simcast - we provided the alert service the Big Brother TV show in Australia. There are a number key metrics that make up the rankings of the channels.
We would really like any feedback on Simcast that you may have and how we can make it better.
