Download all PM's BY Monday May 7th - 9 AM.

We are doing a db cleanup and will be purging all PM's before February 1, 2007.

The PM database is more than 60% of the db for the whole forum and needs a massive cleanup.

Go to your PM box and scroll to the bottom.

You will see:

Download all Private Messages as:
XML | CSV | Text

Click and download any of those choices and save your PM's so you can save them if you want a copy.

Can i get a copy of all my PM's since January (when i joined) before u purge them???...I had been accidentally deleted by an admin for some unknown reason and have been trying ever since my re-instatement to get all my PM's re-inserted into my acct. database. Can this be done?....or saved by you and sent to me via e-mail?...prior to the purge?? I have/had a lot of important info in there.

Hey Tony,

Due to the db being partically affected, those pm's are no longer there. At this time it is not possible to connect the 2.

Any PM's you have of current need to be saved if you need them.

So I only need to save them if they are prior to FEB 1 2007?...correct?....if that's the case, then the one's I had already got deleted/purged when i got deleted from the forum.....so I do not have any pre FEB 1 2007, since i was re-instated in April.

You still have time as none of the pms have been deleted yet.

For many users these pms go back a few years which we dont believe should be that important anymore.

The db needs to be cleanup as its growing and slowing the forum down.

Probably would have been better to have sent a pm out to all members about this. I am finding out about this after the fact.

Same here, by the time I found out this announcement, all my PMs are gone. A better communication should have been in place.
