    good idea to have a "geo" forum, but already i've seen crap there that are not geo names.

    stuff like, but not actual.... "geoshoes.com" or "geotraders.com"

    these are NOT geographical names.

    geo names represent a physical place on earth, like a country, state, city, province, region, bodies of water etc.

    please make sure your names fit within those parameters.

    wouldn't ChicagoShoes or NewYorkTraders be geo names?

    terms related to a product or activity in a geo location should be ok, I'd think.

    Can someone please put some rules on this new "Geo" section, such as is
    the domain example "NewYorkShoes" a Geo domain , OR are we talking "Pure" Geo like "New York" .

    See post #4 by Adam, it would indicate that if the 'spine' of the domain name contains a geographical reference then it is permitted. The 'crap' Biggedon speaks of, well.........

    your example could fit within the "widest" parameters of a geo domain, and I wouldn't have an issue with it, but I think the real intent is to have domains that indicate places on a map.

    those would represent the true meaning of a geo domain....imo.
