Country: | How would you re-org DNforum subforums if you could? These days I just look at today's posts like most of you and that only streches for about 1 hour of recent data. How would you restructure the subforums to make it easier to find what most are looking for. I know we don't need about 8 sales and 8 discssion areas but still want a way t keep it organized. Thse areas will be condensed. Maybe kill the 3 lounges and make 1 where you can only ready what your group posts or below. What other suggestions do you have? Alll suggestions are welcome. -=DCG=- |

Country: | I don't know how re-org the subforums ![]() But we need to have some strong marketplace sections (few clear sales subforums - make offers, fixed price, $1 auction) separated from the discussion part. I also think we need to reorganize the exclusive part of the forum. |

Country: | Step one: print out the index. Step two: create an organizational chart of the index. Step three: create a new chart with only the elements that you need to keep. As for the lounge areas, I think we need a general one (for things like funny stuff, video links and/or rants) and another strictly about domain discussions.

Country: | I agree with Acro, the Chat forums should be condensed and we should have a forum for Domain Discussion. I would reorganize the Sales Forums. We can have sections for different Price ranges. $100 - $500, $500 - $1000 etc... Reduce the Domains Wanted section. We can have two sections, Fixed Budget and Flexible Budget, instead of different price ranges. Here is another suggestion that I have thought of, we should introduce a rule in the Domain Sales sections - No Offers Below Reg Fee. I just got a pm offer on another forum for $1 for a domain! I have received similar offers on DNF. Just my 2 cents. cheers

Country: | 1). Totally and 100% eliminate the Political and Controversy section. Time to get back to domaining. 2). Discussions or threads deemed to contain name calling or racial slurs or even ethnic slurs need to stop. To eliminate any seemingly "biased" moderators, two moderators should view the thread when reported. If they agree on the content to be inappropriate, a warning should be given. Continuation will result in a suspension. All DNFers need to wake up to the realization that this is a multi-cultural and multi-racial meeting and marketing place. If DNFers can not deal with someone being of a different race, religion, or a like for a certain extension, those DNFers need to get over it or be gone. 3). Do eliminate the multi-lounge. Some things need to be seen and considered by all and not some some. 4). Do not permit posting of the same domain for sale in this offer category, that offer category, and so on. An offer asked for is an offer asked for. I don't need to place it in <100, 1000, >1000 and so on. 5.) Only news directly related and pertaining to the domain industry should be permitted. An example is the Snowe Bill and Kentucky's decision to seize/block gambling domains. Lets get back to domaining. |

Country: | Great ideas. We are also moving towards a tabbed idea where you can click tabs to drop down related forum sections. For example: Marketplace: Most sales forums here Content Development: Content development sections here Industry Leaders: Legal: Discssion: Beginners: I think it will allow for members to get where they want to go quicker, cleaner view and more organized. |

Country: | Please add a Warning section other than Legal, to address issues of hijacked/stolen etc domains.

Country: | 1 - Exclusive Forums should be reorganised, probably having less forums there would be better; I believe 3 subforums would be enough. 2 - It's useless to have "Domains Wanted Forums" separated into 5 or 6 different sections. Having a Domains Wanted section is more than enough imho, but I'd change the rules there to make budgets mandatory. These days I have to cheack ALL the subforums... waste of time imho. 3 - I'd create a strong market place instead of having a huge number of subforums that most of the times mislead users. |
