I think you should make it so people can edit their own auctions since I had wanted to add something to my description but I couldn't.
If you are new to domains and looking to buy, sell and learn about domains then you have come to the right place. DNForum is the largest domain name community on the internet and continues to grow every day. There are over 105,000 domainers on DNForum doing everything from buying domains, selling domains, learning about domains and discussing domains. Take a minute and Register.

I'd happily pay a nominal sum for a listing in a 'paid' auction category where perhaps the auctions scrolling along the top of the landing page are coloured. SP seem to be doing OK with it, and that has lots of room for improvement.
Might be an idea also to colour a basic listing title according to its status; e.g.:
As is: No bids
Green: Has bids
Red: Ending in 4 hours with bids
Lots of combinations of options.
Great ongoing development -- congrats.

Seems like there is much less activity on DNF now that these changes have been implemented. Just my observations as a daily visitor for a few years.
Also, I note that some people are able to create "offers wanted" forum threads, but when I click to post a new thread, I'm forced to the auction system (... a system which I still don't like very much at all).
Personally, I'd really like to see the auctions an option and the "offers wanted" forum go back to what it was.
Best wishes,
If the open price is not a reserve, does that mean noone is obliged to sell thier name, no matter how many bids, or how much the open price is?Originally Posted by impactadmin

Does that mean the owner is just seeking offers and the domain need not be sold no matter what the offers are.
It seems it is possible to ignore the new auction system and use the old auction format
