OMG, please don't tell me that the invite is a perk for us...that's insulting.

If everyone uses the invite, it doubles your membership, doubles your pages views and doubles your advertising dollars. The last thing I want is a bunch of "fringe" domainers tryign to sell a crappy domain for $20,000. Most serious domain players are already in one of the forums in one way or another. I doubt it will bring any long lasting value to the forum.

However, you can choose to promote your site as you see fit...just don't try to tell me it's a cow when it walks, talks and sounds like a duck.

I'm not complaining, I just pointed out something that is the focus of a major cell phone company...which is giving new customers more benefits than existing customers.

BTW, how come no one has address the DNLists.net issue? This was something I found useful, but no longer works and does not look like it's going to be fixed.
Topnames is right and it's a great promotional tool and adds yet another unique feature of buying membership directly from DNF.

You get to sell your first invite and the exclusives may very well sell for a few hundred...

An outsider getting a $350 value invite (without earning it or deserving it) is much more significant and relevant to this discussion than the dubious value of the invite perk to the member who paid $350 hard cash even though he has been a long time post contributor and domain buyer here and is a zillion times more deserving of a free ride than the 'wingnut.'.
