It's one thing to complete a survey for the purpose of contributing to the industry, it's a completely different thing to complete it for the sole purpose of helping somebody come out on top.

Yes, people in a survey or vote never ask others to vote for them.
This is laughable especially coming from someone that all they do is push their opinions down your throat.
Even your signature encourages people how to vote and you're not even running in the election.

If I order coffee, the barista gives me a 60-second sales pitch about why I should go online and vote for the cafe her boss owns. To date, I have never slapped the barista.
Why slap Adam Dicker for getting more domainers to participate in a domain industry survey? Surveys are only as meaningful as the size and representative quality of their participants, and DNForum members seem like a pretty desirable audience for the survey runners to draw from.
When a politician runs a paid TV commercial asking me to vote--surprise, surprise--for HIM, I do not hunt the politician down and beat him to death with my shoe. Adam has only asked people to VOTE.
"Best DNForum" is closer to "Best Coffee Shop" than to an election anyway. Meaning that it's a for-entertainment-only popularity contest attached to a not-so-scientific survey. Yes, there's a little extra publicity for the winner of "Best Coffee Shop". But in a world rife with genocide, this isn't a question that should spur animosity.
Be friends, people!
What my signature encourages is for people to vote for the right reasons and to make an intelligent choice, something most Americans failed to do in 2008...
When I look at a survey I like to think it's accurate or close to accurate, I like to think it wasn't influenced by the winner of that survey, and by influence, I mean helping drive up the vote count.
I would not of made the comment if you posted the link and left it at that... I also think it's unfortunate that your taking this personal, nothing personal whatsoever, I'm just stating the obvious.
Then maybe you can explain why the Registrars, parking providers, trade shows, brokers, blogs and escrow services haven't posted links reminding us to vote.

I agree up to the point where you point out your siggy. It is inciteful and biased at very minimum. At best, it promotes racism and implies the majority of the voters were idiots, based on nothing but your own opinion.
Sorry, but your reply begs for this type of responce.
