Re: Rule Change: Affiliate links in signatures

There are lots of "perks" to upgrading. This is one of them.
And I agree A very nice one indeed ;-)

Re: Rule Change: Affiliate links in signatures

It would be a better perk if there wasn't a link condom on (rel=nofollow)

As this is about promoting business, it would help if there was some link love. You should trust the links you allow us to drop, unless this is about hoarding PR.

I was unaware that was the policy!
Although a quick peek at the code and...sure enough
Indeed this would be a much better perk if link love were shown.

Why is there no relation?

Re: Rule Change: Affiliate links in signatures

Polish, i think you fail to see the point of my post.

Your RKD link which you so cleverly split into two links does absolutely nothing for you in the search engines, so unless I or other members of this forum who see your post and read your sig are looking for a stun gun, taser etc...the link isn't worth a thing.

And it bears repeating, nothing says SEO more than the use of the rel=nofollow, which was a knee jerk reaction by the SE's to combat comment spam.

Re: Rule Change: Affiliate links in signatures

Who said I was quoting your post? Or have anything to do with you?

My link ? Clever? It would appear that it's pointing to the same site, yet shows up with two different rollovers? Your too funny ..

Talking about SEO.. If I wanted to talk about SEO, Trust me I would. Ask for your advise at that, which I would not.

Re: Rule Change: Affiliate links in signatures

Sorry if I offended. My bad for assuming you read my post.

I will say I am as uninterested in stun guns as the search engines are in link drops inside this forum..
