Even though everyone recommends only dealing with verified/reputable members, people take risks when they see a bargain. Some of these risks will eventually cause damage and then people b*tch about it afterwards.

Make DNF verification non-optional and I think the amount of scam attempts on the forum will be significantly reduced.

Y E S !
I'd to say yes, as long as: (1)their age's is to be displayed along with their names and they are clearly marked and known. (2)their parents sign an agreement states they undertake legality responsibility on behalf of them, and the other party can demanding on them in case of any problem happened. (3)contract's other party know and agree to deal with a teen
in this format, personally, I see it very possible
I started my first work back in 2000 when I was only 16y and I think the chance should be equal to all teens out their to get the chance, start work and build their success

BTW, vote worked with me very well

How about if we pay more attention to iTrader ratings as opposed to age? Before you do business with someone new, check their iTrader rating and read over their reviews?

It is simple and is usually honest.

Plus, I don't think someone is going to register 10-15 gold accounts just to boost one other account's iTrader rating.

I think they should be allowed to do business as long as they have proper verification and permission from guardians or parents, as long as these are taken care of we should be fine

YES - Some teens are excellent costumers, I just turned 18 in Januari, started domaining when I was 17, and I think other teens should have the same chance.

I can't see any reason why not if it's stated that they're under 18, therefore anyone wishing to do business with them does so at their own risk, but again as has been mentioned here, how will you prove age?

Why discriminate? Be it age or anything else?

If someone under 18 want to conduct a business, get his parents to sign documentation and thats that. Just like if you need to be verified then send the verification documentation.

I'm assuming that most parents should be aware of their kids financial activities in any case.

This is a tough one... But I voted yes, because I think that teenagers should be given a chance to practice their business skills. Verifying every member would be way too complicated. I let the board admins do the innovative stuff required to sort this one out with class.

9MM has/had an iTrader of 13....

iTrader rating really can not be trusted IMO.

I do not think it's just an "age" issue. It is known that people under 18 have less experience then somebody that is older. An underage person may not take things as serious due to lack of experience and so on.

Do I think people 17 years old and younger should be not be able to trade at all, no! If they are underage, it should be CLEAR to others THEY ARE. It all comes back to Transparency in our industry.

I think first you should check their itrader rating then you check their age. See how other people did with their transactions with that person.

My first instinct was to say no, but then when you think you can drive, have sex, etcetera at those ages, and go to work, then why not buy and sell on a forum?

However , it would be good if under 18's had a little icon under avatar or something so people knew and could avoid trading with if wanted.
Dunno, tricky one

I say no.. Only due to the legal reasons. But if there was a verification process that would get there parents or guardian to vouch for them, that could be another story.

And if it clearly stated that they were under 18 on their profile, then it would be the other members choice on if they conduct business with them or not. That is where itrader and reputation would come into play...

I say no. Being that it is a business forum, I don't think the onus should be on one party to ask if the other party is of legal age to enter into a contract.

tough call.

I know a couple of kids (hate that word) here that are outstanding.

A bona-fide ironclad proof verification system needs to be in place period.

Look at what we are dealing with en masse.

16 or 60...one can be as bad as the other.
