I'm not planning on going anywhere so you're stuck with me for a while.
I currently work for one of the major wireless communications companies here in the US. For a while, I was a "Lead Service and Repair Representative" (a.k.a. lead technician) which meant I was the lead for the in-store technicians (the ones who fix your phones). I had the responsibility and workload as the supervisor but not the authority or the pay (isn't that always the case?). I had one of the largest geographic areas in the US, Key West to Vero Beach, Florida (roughly a 6-7 hour drive from end to end). I was very well respected with the supervisor and the team of technicians. Both sides know that they could come to me in confidentiality. What I spoke to them about did not leave me mouth unless it was with them, in private, or I had their definite permission to discuss it elsewhere.
I was (well, still am) always ranked high in "ethics" and "customer satisfaction" in my reviews. I tried my hardest to take care of the customer while abiding by the policies set out by corporate (usually with good results). I was more concerned about results than numbers.
(I'm no longer in this position because I was promoted into the IT department, now I fix what they break).
Why am I saying all of this? I can hear some yawns out there. I am extending the came courtesy that I offered to my technicians when I was a lead and people can trust that I won't go shout out what people have told me in private.
I also hope to live up to the expectations and trust that the administrators (Mediahound, DCG etc.) have put in me.
