1st Page Google, 10k searches/month, why no traffic?

I recently through up a forum, with the domain name being my #1 keyword. After about 2 weeks of putting up some content, I have the site between #4 and #5 spots on page 1 of google, for my main keyword. Google estimates searches for that keyword at 10,000/month. Ranking on page one in #5 or better spots, wouldn't you expect to see more than 60 +/- referals a month from that keyword?? Google is not displaying the description I want, but it is still accurate for what the keyword is being searched for. Am I missing something here?

Anyone have a rule of thumb for something like organic impressions to click?

The keyword is "jdm nissan" (japenese domestic market)

I'm showing the following search volume using google's keyword tool, using exact search

    [jdm nissan]

    local:
    720

    global:
    1,000

i think you may have used broad search which gives about 9,900

always be sure to use 'exact search'. i have also made this mistake when first using this tool and regged some deadbeats. it happens

even 720 exact searches per month ought to give you 10-15 visitors a day if you can get into the top 3.

Same report on 1 site which are ranking on the first positision of G dot com for the main generic keyword.
This keyword phrase get 5500 local exact match for US market but the site get roughly 450 uniques for that keyword phrase.
Site is hosted in US server and my main competitors are Amaz and EB (ranked behind my site)

    It's a mistary for me...
