__Pointing to your own domain 1000s of times Bad??

If i have a Site, consisting of 1000s of article sites, and the HOMEPAGE

and All of the 1000s of artical pages POINT to my Mail homepage/money page... (so i filter the visitors from my content/article sles to my main page containing Adsense etc) Is that bad from SEO point of view?

Thousands of Links from additional Content sites my to my >>HOME page

eg,
www. MYSITE/article1.hml..... Pointing-> www. MYSITE.com
www. MYSITE/article2.hml.... Pointing-> www. MYSITE.com
www. MYSITE/article3.hml.... Pointing-> www. MYSITE.com
www. MYSITE/article4.hml.... Pointing-> www. MYSITE.com
www. MYSITE/article5.hml.... Pointing-> www. MYSITE.com
etc.. until
www. MYSITE/article1000.hml.... Pointing-> www. MYSITE.com

so i have Thounds of Links pointing to my own domain Homepage.. Do Google+ other Search engines like that?

Or what can I do instead, as a shortcut to Still use this method... and be accepted by the Search engines (use another Dummy domain..but how would i do this )

Does anybody do this, and get Good results?

Did that and got banned. Didn't really do much for me.

Most site's pages link to their home page. I do not see how only that would get somebody banned.

I am sure it helps send your visitors to the home page, but I doubt it helps SEO very much.

I have heard that subdomains - subdomain.domain.com - are considered different domains in some ways, maybe something of use there. But if all you had to do was link to your site from your own subdomains everybody would already be doing it.

That only works when
1) The inbound links to your homepage is not in the same domain
2) The inbound links are from pages with high page ranks

The biggest thing this will accomplish is easy navigation for the viewers and spiders. Effects on SEO and PR are minimal, if any.

If you want to rank higher, get some highly ranked pages to link to your site.
