adwords top spot how is that compared to SE top spot

lets say i own xxxxx.com and i advertise on adwords (top spot for the same keyword xxxxxm, that keyword get about 60-100 click's a day) how is that compared to the Search engine (top spot).
The keyword has about 3 million results so.
Is there a way to estimate how many clicks i would get if i have the top spot in the search engine?

I am the top result for adwords and the 2nd organic result. I get 1 organic click for every 10 adwords clicks.
I am told this is unusual, so I am very curious what others are experiencing.

I'd think that depends a lot of your copy. With adwords you can specify it exactly per keyword, with natural serps results google will show a snipet of what it thinks is most relevant. Also I think it depends on how internet savvy your search audience is. Are they ad-blind or noobs that dont even see the difference between ads and organic serps.

[edit addition] Cargod, do you advertise in the content network as well or only to be displayed on searches? That could make a diff.

Basically it depends. I've had good ads in the #1 spot on dating keywords before that have gotten 40-50% CTR. That means I must've been getting more clicks than the top organic result. However, depending on your dynamic keyword insertion and quality score, your results make vary.

I've had the best luck with being the the bottom most ad at the top of the page. As for organic traffic from Google, I'm a king of Yahoo and MSN but Google has always been a bit of a mystery. Some of my sites do well, some do not. All use the same SEO methods.
