The keyword density ratio varies from search engine to search engine. In general, it is recommended using a keyword density ratio in the range of 2-10%. I believe Yahoo and MSN have a much higher keyword density tolerance as compared to Google.

What is "key word density"?
GoPC
Keyword density is an element of search engine optimization. It is the ratio of the number of occurrences of a particular keyword or phrase to the total number of words in a page. If the keyword density is too high some search engines will penalize you for spamming.Originally Posted by GoPC
