My forum site (url in signature) has only a few backlinks and I use Sitereportcard every week to check them. The past 3 weeks has seen them keep changing between 1 & 6 and the sites that keep disappearing come back a few days later. Every backlink checker I have used shows a different number of backlinks, does anyone know the best backlink checker?

I checked my site on SiteReportCard 5 times in 1 hour and the backlinks changed 3 times!
mine changes also, idk, i guess you should probably use it as a rough estimate if your not actually paying for these backlinks
The backlinks are from friends websites, they are listed in Google but certain times of the day the links are not counted and its just very strange how it changes.
hmm, yeah thats wierd do you get bumped down on your keywords when you search in google?
I'm not too sure as the site is not in the top hundred yet.
Actually how long does it take for backlinks to reflect in Google searches? I mean if I get 100 backlinks tonight from similar sites will my position improve overnight or will it take a while because I always thought it took a month or so but the sites keep changing for the same keyword on Google.
google has been dancing this week, I have seen PR change and backlinks move as well.
Wait a bit and check again. That's my addvice
I hope it will stay at least as it was before....

i dont know how long it takes for backlinks but i opmtomized my meta tag info and my site content for my top 10 keywords. And the next morning i checked and i noticed a substantial improvement.Originally Posted by hunnam
