    best sedo keywords

I have tried self optimizing for some domains at sedo, but they seem to convert like crap. Can anybody recommed the best keywords that bring in the best click thru's and income?
    Thanks

    Re: best sedo keywords

I've generally found that keywords that exactly match your domain work best.

So if your domain is a generic composed of keyword1keyword2.com then the best combination is "keyword1 keyword2" - try plural and singular, as sometimes there's a big difference in the number of advertisers.

Either that, or a little lateral thinking e.g. there might be no ads for "house buyers" but dozens of advertisers competing for "buying a house".
JapaneseDomains.com - cheap .jp registrations, English language interface, no local presence required. Alphabetic & IDN names supported. Bulk pricing available.

I agree, although a couple of domains I have don't return any advertisers as you suggest. However, put the phrase in Google and I get a host of what I would want to advertise. So it may be worth checking out first if parking revenue is the aim.

when you play around with the optimization tool, to the right of your domain there is a little box. if you clikc it, a new smaller screen pops up showing you what your new keyword looks like with adsense. This way you can try different combos, and see live what ads come up.

Thanks for all the good advice. I didn't know that you could have more than 1 keyword for any certain domains. I wish there was a way to see how much each bid was worth on google, would help to know which keyword might pay off best.

overture have a bid tool. I don't have the link with me. However, the advertisers bids and my earnings don't seem to tie up too well when you look at the % sedo pays

    Seeker,

Thanks for sharing that tip about the little preview button in the optimization tool! Makes setting your own keywords a whole lot easier!

    I thought so.

I have a domain where Overture return bids on my keywords between 1.20 to 2.75 but sedo pay 0.03. Same companies!!!

    Makes me smile, NOT!!!

I dont know of any sure way to find the value at google, but what I do is this:

I go to goole and place in quotes the keyword. Then I look at the results and see how many adsense adds there are. The keyword that has the most adds gets my vote.
As the more adds, the more competition, and more likey more money per click is spent by the companies.

    hope this helps.

that's not necessarily the case. I have a domain that is made up of 2 words that gives good Overture figures and the term makes sense. Also the words returns relevent sites when doing a Google search. Put them in sedo and I get no advertisers! Perhaps I should develop it, or get another name and advertise on Google with those keywords!

I generally agree with you though.

Do any keywords work for adult domains? I just get generic page where they have to click twice.
