Building Business With Social Networking

I would like to read some real life stories of growing your business and sales by using social network.

Many of us have varying interests and pursuits outside of domains. Making contacts on these networks is a blessing to driving traffic and business.

For myself, I have seen almost instant gains in my endeavors using Twitter. Each time I publish a Tweet I see increased activity on my site typically followed by increases in Adsense revenue.

I do not underestimate the power of Social Networks.

But with all the competition to get attention (and followers),

Which Social Network are you using and why?

I know some of these are not actually social networks, but I am aware of Digg, Facebook, MySpace, and so on.

I would simply like to see which networks different members are using, why you are using them, relate some examples (pros and cons), and how social networking has affected your bottom line.

I avoided social networking until very recently, but have now seen the potential in it. I posted 1 link on Facebook (my personal wall) that resulted in more affiliate sales than I normally do in a week - and I don't have many friends! I'm going to stick with facebook and have been starting pages for each new website property I put up. What I have seen from sites I follow that I don't like is sites that post a hundred times a day - I tune them out. So, I think once or twice per day for each site will be my target, but only if I have something to say or share.

Is there a decent tutorial on using Facebook to create and promote business contacts while using Facebook.

Yes, Social websites have really improved our website traffic hence conversion ratio & revenue. Facebook and twitter are best and are widely used. Digg is also our main source of traffic. We always try to keep our FAN/Followers updated with latest news and happenings using our official profile.

In post #3, I asked, is there a decent tutorial on using Facebook to create and promote business contacts while using Facebook. I am interested in facebook primarily as a business tool.

As for Twitter, each time I tweet with a link to my primary site I get several more adsense dollars. It is nothing to write home about (yet) but this month will be my highest adsense revenue month.
