Re: domain parking traffic?

The PPC companies see that your parked domains get spidered , but the one page landers are not optimized for search engines and there is no content so they get penalized for no content, resulting in very poor rankings. You can't promote parked pages with them because it falls into fraud category in their Terms of Service (TOS) , if your going to want to promote your domains and have a chance at search engine traffic then you need to have sites under the domains with content.

Re: domain parking traffic?

I have found the best names that get picked up by seo are typos with very little competition for the terms, google place some of my parked pages on top for these, if it is a competitive key word then not much

Re: domain parking traffic?

I signed up at Namedrive a few domains ago and within a week, I have earned nearly $20 for 3 ordinary domains - ThinkMatic.com , Phonenext.com and Psychospeak.com .

They were somewhat developed a few days ago though.

Re: domain parking traffic?

Interesting. So, which domain parking service is better? Or is one? I have quite a few domains that I have for later projects, but wouldn't mind capitalizing a little on them while they lie dormant. Seems as if I park them myself and put adsense on there (original plan) that may not be the best way to go?? Any suggestions on a service out there.

Re: domain parking traffic?

I have also several domains parked on Sedo. Before they was developed sites and had some traffic. Currently they had same traffic but I'm planning just create optimized pages and place Adsense on it.
As I know Sedo is using Google's ad network to serve ads, and practically I'm sharing my earnings with Sedo.
Heh, this situation is for all parking services. Maybe everyone use parking sites, because it is easy to setup the domains to be online, instead creating own pages.

Re: domain parking traffic?

or you can Category Showcase on your parked site, that helps a little if you want domain searchers to see it.

Re: domain parking traffic?

I've since signed up with GoDaddy's Cash Parking. Getting very limited page views and so far, no clicks. Maybe, developing a template page that can host some content with Adsense along side of it for each domain might be a good way to go. That would help get indexed in search engines better, eh?

Why such a contrast between Namedrive.com and GoDaddy's cash parking service? No indexing at GoDaddy?? I've categorized my pages.
