Freeway Blogging for web marketing?

The 9/11 truth groups are using freeway blogging fairly effectively to advertise their web sites/messages for a very low cost... see example youtube video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWBd9OltAks

The potential marketing attractiveness of freeway blogging is;

* a big captive audience
* a very low cost (nearly free, except for cost of sign & your time).

My question is;

Would freeway blogging work for regular web sites? (ie: non 911 truth web sites)... I'm guess freeway blogging could be an effective marketing tool for regional web sites... IE: if you owned a domain like www.losangelesgasprices.com, it'd probably be a fairly effective & low cost to freeway blog your site along the i405, the i10, or the i5, to brand/drive local LA residents to check your site.

Any thoughts on freeway blogging for web marketing?
