Good price for link from PR5/6 sites?

Hi,

I've been approached by someone out of the blue via the email address published on one of my sites. They say they would like to buy a three-word text link from one of my pages. It's a PR5 page. I also have a PR6 within the site.

What sort of price would be reasonable to ask? They want to pay me monthly. Would appreciate advice from people who know the market rates

It really depends on the topic. PageRank doesn't really mean anything anymore...the price would be higher on a "trusted site" with a lot of on-topic backlinks.

You might check the rates for text links on Text Link Ads and Link Worth to see what you can buy the text link ad for.

thanks. It's a geek/coding/computing site, I get around 1000 visitors a day.
