My understanding is absolutely NO (read the TOS), only 1 Adsense can be displayed per page. However, you could run both adsense and google ppc search on the same page but search has extremely poor EPC and also tends to take clicks away from adsense so I do not suggest using search in most cases (with a few odd exceptions).Originally Posted by GiantDomains

First was no, then yes, now no.

two sets of adsense? No No No, they send u a nice little email![]()
Yeah, they changed their TOS. I remember before they allowed you to have 2 banners on 1 page.
They've *never* allowed 2 banners on one page.
There was some confusing language in their TOS at one point that said you could, but then it also said you had to guarantee that they gave different advertisements, and since there was no way to do that, there was no way to run two banners on the same page. People saw the first part but missed the implications of the second part.
I think what happened is that they had plans to release some code that would allow you to specify that it was the second banner on the page and then it would force unique ads, and wrote the TOS to indicate it, and then it never happened, confusing everyone.
DNForum used to have two Google ads on their front page, thanks to a stealth ad in the sedo news listing. That disappeared. Wonder if anyone official would be willing to say if that was because Google told them not to.
(come to think of it, stealth ads also are against TOS... wonder if they got a letter and, if so, what it said)

I was under the impression that you could have two google ads on one page, but not the same type of ad. For example. I thought you could have a 468x60, plus a skyscraper, but not two 468x60's.
I dont think so.

PM me for details
My old site had 2 of the same banners. One was on top, the other was on the bottom. This was set for about a couple weeks until I took my site down. I never got any emails from them or anything.
The folks at WebmasterWorld have a dedicated area to Google AdSense with an official Google representative that stops by to answer questions and a moderator who can directly contact them as needed. She asked them about the confusion, they said absolutely no way can you have two ads on the same page.
Statements of an official spokesperson beats out peronal opinions and what someone got away with for a couple weeks.

I e-mailed Google Adsense a while back when I saw that the TOS said it was OK, and they told me 'no'. They said you were allowed to have two banners on a page *if* they didn't have the same ads, and since the technology they have doesn't allow for that yet, you can only have one on a page.

Rock
no they have that technology...
on my new website I put 2 adsense banner ads on the same page thinking it was alright, now, both only show up if they have different ads, otherwise only one shows up.
my site: www.GTRides.com
I will be changing this shortly, but I guess Google already figured it out
Surprisingly NO adsense ads show up when I looked at the page, not 2 or even 1.
thats because there arent any on the home page, try another content page...
Right, the under $60,000 page has 2 sets of adsense on top and bottom with different ads. How did you do that anyway, espcially since publishers seem to have ni real control of the ads?Originally Posted by GT Web
BTW, IMO, 2 Adsense on the same page may not be OK even if different. You should check that out to be sure.
Also, why no G on the index page as that page is most important?
yes, I will take one of the Adsense ads out soon when I make some updates. I guess when there are more than 2 ads that are relevent Google puts both of them up.
Adsense ads didnt make much for me on the home page, once I get some more traffic I will take out the fastclick ad and put up some custom ones. The other ad is from a really great affiliate program - click on the banner and request a quote and I make $3.60, thats a lot more than Adsense will make me in that position.
