Exactly. When you park a domain somewhere the PR received is the PR where it is parked on.

Interesting. I also noticed that when they were parked with Afternic, many had no PR rating, yet some had ratings of 2, 3, 4 and 5. Could not the domain name also be a factor in the rating.

The PR is the page rank, not the site rank, so it makes sense that some are 0, and some are 5. It is the PR of your parked page on afternic, not your domain, as stated above.
