Good post on blogs.
Wordpress has a ping feature for every new post. Is that the type of thing you are talking about? What if I post 10 posts in 20 minutes, then don't post for a week. Will they not allow me to ping?

If you are new to domains and looking to buy, sell and learn about domains then you have come to the right place. DNForum is the largest domain name community on the internet and continues to grow every day. There are over 105,000 domainers on DNForum doing everything from buying domains, selling domains, learning about domains and discussing domains. Take a minute and Register.
Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!Getting your site indexed in days instead of months is the trend now.
If your not up on it, which I see some still aren't here at the forum, I suggest you read the following article/page: http://pheedcentral.com/Blog_%26_Pin...tials_%2BVids/
In a word: blogs.
To get your site indexed quickly (in a week or so) you need get a link from somewhere you know already gets spidered regularly, right?
But what you may not know is that somewhere is a place that you can create instantly and actually cause to be spidered. (which is nice).
That somewhere is a blog.
Blogs that link back to your site are announced by "pinging" blog directories. These directories are spidered frequently by the major search engines and when pinged by you, will add your blog url to their directory.
When the spiders come-a-knockin, you will be found, and you will notice within a few days on your stats that Googlebot, MSNbot or InkomiSlurp has graced you with there presence.
Blogs are a much more transient media than websites. The advent of syndicated feeds has sped up the game to daily and even hourly updates of news, and all information categories.
The three big players, Google, Yahoo and MSN fight to keep up with these changes and actually compete between each other to index the latest updates in all categories first.
When you use this technique, you are effectively leveraging the fact they are competing with each other and don't want to be left out of what's new and what's hot.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, while this will get your traffic going in much less time than "submit URL's" to search engines (which I think actually causes it to take longer than not submitting it), this does not take the place of getting links to your sites (preferably high PR ones) which in the long term will maintain your traffic levels.
And, I ask all those who know this or who are learning this for the first time to 1. don't spread it around to everyone you know- keep it quiet and 2. don't abuse this technique.
Blog and Ping is not new- and Google, Blogger, Yahoo already know the game. So play it, but play it smart. It works, but if you blog and ping too many times in a 24 hour period you may loose your blog/get banned from your account (it happened to me, so I speak from experience).
If you read my blog post-Just Released: RSS2Blog (RSS to Blog) Pro Version.
I have bought and tested a tool recently which automates the Blog and Ping process very well. I have some samples in there that you can look at as well. You will see my blogs link back to my websites.
If you are interested in purchasing this tool, you can. It allows you to set it and forget it. You will be invited to join a forum and community (that I belong to) that is using it right now to create automated blogs to both index their sites quickly, and monetize their blogs directly. I learned a lot from them. Here is a shortcut to my blog-it's a bit long, but a good read:

I do recommend it for those who are already somewhat familiar with at least, setting up a blog. And now you don't have to pay someone else to do it.
Write me if you have any questions.
Much Success. I hope this helps.

You don't have to look that far -dnforum has it too - just look to the left. if you follow DNforum's "My Blog" Icon and write a blog, they have a 'ping' option that allows you to ping the more reputable directories.
And do you know why dnforum does it? Did you notice that the title of each post links back to dnforum? They know how to promote themselves and they are adding value. PR, traffic to this forum and therefore revenue to their pockets by providing us that service.
But to answer your questions, yes that is the "type" of thing I'm talking about but I suggest you read the article referenced above and even consider buying the videos if you really want to get into it. There is a bit more to it.
I'm not sure to what end (what are you trying to accomplish?) you would do what you are suggesting. However, I would not try to speed up the process of getting indexed from days to minutes, because it won't happen. The more 'human" looking and acting your blog, the more reputable and the better results you will have. A blog post or 2 a day, every day is my recipie for success.
Now as you know, wordpress blogs are installed on your server - so they cannot be shut down like ones hosted by blogger. (Blogger also has a feature when you create a blog to self-host it as well, which will prevent it from getting shut down.)
But getting your blog deleted or your account shut down should not be your main concern. If you overblog even on a self-hosted blog like WP, for purposes of indexing, you may see you site get indexed quickly, traffic start to build over 1-2 months, then your site's ip will be dropped from yahoo's / google's / MSN's index and your traffic will stop as fast as you can say "blog spamming".
(Don't forget, you can include as many links to your sites as you want in each post and in the "links" area in the margin of your blogs also. So there's really no need (money wise) to blog so much anyway - unless your buddy is betting you a couple of hundred bucks that he can write more posts than you.)
Hope this helps.

The "fast" spidering game is not about blogs exclusively, it's simply about having an incoming link from a frequently spidered site. Many websites that update thier content daily are being spidered daily. If you want to stay ahead of the game you should also take into account that incoming links from blogs are being abused widely and that Google seems to actually be "devaluing" some of them for this reason.
