But in order to rank well with google, should I include useful articles on the site? IMO, most hotel web sites don't submit articles to article directories (Digg, etc).
Any input is appreciated. Thank you.

Give a good description of each hotel should be good enough - like do they have a restaurant, pool, hot tub, wireless, close to attractions, etc. If you add an article, make it an article about the city with info a tourist or business traveler would want.
Tailor the site to what a visitor would most likely be looking for if they are searching for hotels in that city.

Thank you. I looked at a few major city+hotels.com sites and saw how they included helpful articles on their site
Anybody using Booking.com? I'm sick and tired of IAN. Multiple account for multiple sites. They don't credit hotel bookings sometimes - luckily have email proof. Their interface is horrible, their scripts are sometimes not compatible with Firefox, and the worst is they are paying by cheque.

When I type in hotels.com in the URL bar I get redirected to hotels.ca (I'm in Canada). I clicked on their affiliate link at the bottom of the page and it goes to http://expediaaffiliate.com.
I believe this is Ian.com. When I type in Ian.com it goes to http://expediaaffiliate.com/
Have you tried hotelscombined.com? I've never tried them but they're suppose to be one of the other major hotel affiliate programs and from what I've seen they've been getting better reviews than expediaaffiliate.com.
Hotels.com=IAN.com=Expedia.com. I think IAN and Booking.com are the two largest, this is why I'd like to give Booking.com a go - they have wire payments and much better looking listings. Thanks for the hotelscombined.com tip, I will take a look, seems they have really high commission - 70%!

i usually write articles for websites with travel and hotel like top ten things to do in 'london" or wherever and base it from a certain hotel like a review after a trip. Then people have a ready list of options 7 directions from their hotel already.
