I've "heard" it's a 10k minimum dep
Normally from what I know (I have many ads in the blue bar). The ad have to be verified as ok, not boarder line (checking happens to all ads - hence they delete some). Then you need to have a high click through ratio (over a month of), I've seen ads make it at about 12%, hardly ever less - but some of the high paying ones have been less.
Those ads that offer what the searcher wants (rather than what you want to sell) tend to get a higher click through, in tern cost less than bidding very high (to get a good result on left bar).
I've never contacted customer support about though.
About 10% of my well written ads tend to make it - normally the ones I spend a lot of time on. But when you you change the wording/keywords it drops back to the left bar for a few weeks.
It may just be luck, but I think the above is the trick.
How much you pay per click on average for the ones that are showing up sponsored?
Bid about 1.00-2.00, generally pay less than 0.80 per click, but this can vary day to day.
I had some which I only bid 0.60 on that came up last year.
I would stress that all the ads it worked for me on have been long running campains, linking to websites content, not an aff link. Also the campains have xxxx spend per month.
There are two ways....
You have to be a premium advertiser & spend like a minium of like $10k/month
OR
if they don't have any current ads to show in those boxes for that keyword, then the ads that would normally appear @ the top of the right ad block will instead appear in those two spaces.
