How to promote new articles on my site - tipd.com, digg.com, etc...

Whenever a new article is put on my site I list it on some social media sites.
The topics are all finance, commodity, environment related and I was wondering if anyone can recommend some other places, social media, or other that are good for listing new articles on your site.

I currently use:
Tipd.com, digg.com, Propellor.com, Stumbleupon.com

I have the same question.... in addition to OP I use twitter and linkedin. I get most of my referrals from stumbleupon and linkedin. But, I find it hard to get people from twitter.
To OP: May be you should use linkedin too? But don't forget, it is a very technical traffic, so don't expect them to click on adsense or your other PPC etc

But it's not really that effective to put every article of your site on all of these sites, in fact many may ban your site for it - digg especially. Be selective.

Exactly only your best article or some link bait material should be pitched on these sites.
