Country: | I need traffic for my Directory - Advise please Im trying to get traffic to my directory Vuwl. com. At the moment I get a steady 100 - 150 uniques a day but I read somewhere that there is free ways to get large amounts of traffic to your websites. Does anyone know how to do this and would they be kind enough to share?
I believe its something to do with submitting an article about your site etc to some article sites, however if this is the case I also dont know which sites are the best to submit to. |

Country: | This is true.
It's about link building too. You can submit your site to directories and article directories.
Directories will list what your site is about and supply a link to your site. If you submit to article directories you will need to write a short article to submit. You can usually supply anchor text with these submittings too, which I would recommend doing.
Whatver you do, DO NOT use an automatic submitter or a service that has auto submitting. Hand submitting is the best way. article submit list |

Why shouldn't you use an auto submitter service - just wondering because I was just about to try one.. |

Country: | Use Digg, hubpages, facebook and of course mypsace. How?. Because these are authority sites if you use the right keywords in the title of your blog, post or whatever you're doing it will hit the top page fast. I know I've done it many times but it can also depend on fierce competition as well. Or do a press release.

Country: | "Automatic" link programs are just that, automatic.
You have a directory, so the important part is people going to the site AND clicking on the listings. Automatic link programs just have a bot go to your page several times. It is a good way to fluff up page view, but that's it, usually little to none (usually none) quality traffic.
As stated before, you should build up your links with people who want to see your site and are interested in its content. These people are the ones who will click though your directory and make your clients happy (if they pay you or not, they prefer listed to get clicks themselves). Plus, human traffic is far more likely to:
- Click on adsense (making you more money)
- Think about adding their own entry in your directory
- Bookmark your directory
- Recommend your directory to others
- Link to your directory from their sites.
Talk to webmasters who have sites similar to your directory's subject. Ask for links in exchange for free low end ads, or discounted higher end ads.

While building your domain or e-property this is one mistake you want to avoid. |
