I Spend 0000$ for first page on google....

I have started my website directory in aug-2006. Today i am on the first page of google for high value keyword "website directory.Not only google yahoo and many more search engine shows my website directory on the first page.

In these last few months i have spend 00000$. for getting this position.

Well without quotes i see dir.yahoo.com as 1st and with i see http://www.thisisouryear.com/ is that your site?

There are reasons for this, e.g. there might be not enough competition for the keywords in question.

Why did you make a second thread about this?

I told you before...great, now try and do the same for terms people actually search for.

"website directory" means nothing, since hardly anyone uses quotes.

hmm, thisisouryear.com shows as a pr6, so congrats. Although you probably didn't spend money on seo i bet you spend alot of time getting backlinks.

Targeting single kws or keyphrases is of little benefit. I bet it doesn't give you much, if any traffic.

Nice work Raju,

But take care, it look likes your traffic is falling down (Alexa).
For having run a lot of directories I know what these declining trends mean.
Search engines (and mainly Google/Yahoo) do not like a lot directories (for several reasons) and after a good traffic pic generally is the fall down to the troublion.
Smoothly, but surely :(
We still not found what can really be done to stop the life cycle of such directories.

(sell it while you still have a significant traffic - this is my suggestion)

Agreed - unless it is a highly searched keyword or phrase in itself. Website directory's ovt is only 1741.

If you get a key-phrase like antivirus protection with an ovt of 1,853,165 - then you are on to something big.

Still first page is always nice - just start targeting more related keywords for maximum benefit.

0000$ means zero -- I'm assuming you meant that you spent up to $9999 -- if so, where did you spend it? Then you say 00000$ -- which is it? You should really understand how Google works before making ranking assumptions, especially when it comes to using quotes to group terms.
